My writing encompasses several areas of interest in my life. I frequently write about a variety of topics including Christianity, parenting and self awareness, as well as a few other topics of interest. I use my lay research and life experience as a guide in my writing. I am able to relate to my readers, as well as trigger thought processes that bring about reflection and self discovery. Writing regularly on the web has allowed me sharpen my skills and expand my audience.
I am open minded and compassionate and enjoy an active dialogue with those who share my faith as well as with those who do not. I believe that expanding the mind and heart are essential to personal growth. We are simply able to contribute more on a human level, as members of society, if we are open to new ideas. I use this perspective in my writing and believe it adds a level of humanity to what I write.
I also enjoy writing about my children and child advocacy in general. Children and teenagers inspire me to step up my game. This forces me to stay current on popular ideology and culture. Teaching my own children, as well as others I come in contact with as much as they teach me would be a great accomplishment, for sure.
