As a young 40 something, I have spent my years working in secretarial, accounting, and human resource positions. I enjoy computing, whether it's gaming or creating spreadsheets and graphs, or developing forms and correspondence. I have always been an avid reader, in part because my favorite aunt was an avid reader. I started reading her romance novels at a young age. It was after her death that I started to seriously want to write a book, it is to be her story that lives only in my mind. This is why I joined Helium to do a little writing to see what people like.

Once upon a time, Blah, blah, blah, And happy ever after. Yeah, right. The truth is more like Once upon a time A young woman, full of dreams, Got married. She cooked, She cleaned, She gave birth, She raised kids. Through sickness she nursed them all Through pain she made it better Through storms she comforted Through loss she was there for hugs. Twenty years later, A few gray hairs A thicker waist A pair of sagging breasts And a note left on the table. I need more passion, I need more adventure, I need more life, I'm gone it said.
