Versatile writer/Crafter of words
My goal to make you laugh, giggle, cry, or compel you to stand up for change. I have written medical curricula, technical journals, policy & procedure manuals- all serious subjects- but that does not mean they have to be boring!
For a while I have been doing ghost writing for medical journals and periodicals. While I find it interesting and rewarding my love for words are compelled to find an outlet for myself.
I judge my success on how well I touch someone with words. We are all people with various experiences yet we all face similar struggles, memories, and hurts that life sends our way. A fresh look at that often brings healing.
One of the things I enjoy the most is a challenge-toss me one! I can find humor is pretty much anything.
My passion is ...
making people laugh so hard they puddle or inspire them to foster change.
I know too much about ...
nothing. I am both a novice and an expert. Isn't everyone?
My parents always told me ...
to wear clean underwear. Didn't yours?
My childhood ambition ...
was to grow up and be Emma Peal. She had great clothes & kicked butt without sweating. How cool was that?
My favorite memory ...
seems to be the flavor of the day. I am a memory "seeder" and cultivator of dreams.
Why I write ...
because I am too cheeky to keep all this goofy banter inside.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
is to expansive to place here. I am a voracious reader, a people watcher, and an avid listener. Perfect strangers tell me secrets every day.
My first job ...
was to take care of all my siblings. While it was a labor of love I learned quickly to see the strengths in each of them and how to exploit them. That is what big sisters do.
My best moment ...
When my mother read one of my stories and didn't know it was mine. She forwarded it saying, "You have to read this! This is fabulous!"
My inspiration ...
Is a quote from Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality, "You stole red panties! You ate pizza!" You are a wild woman-You can do this!" I believe we often limit ourselves when we shouldn't. We all have "lived on the wild side" or our own version of it and it makes us see beyond boundaries. My motto's is "Problems are just possibilities in disguise." I try to see each mountain as really a just a hill and each path a possible way to the best journey life has to offer.
Is shaken not stirred a recipe for a blended family? Yes, there are going to be times you are shaken as well as painfully stirred by emotions within the concoction that is a blended family. Having successfully navigated and survived the blending of a diverse family I created a recipe for survival. Families are made up of different ideals, varied perceptions, and a diverse set of emotions. While none are the same, each unique to each individual, we do have many issues in common. There isn't a special trick to accomplish the right blend nor is every problem solved by a one-size-fits-all plan...
