I've had a romance with writing since I was just a little girl. With the support of my mother I wrote and illustrated my first book at age six. My mom sent it to a publisher who in turn sent me a lovely rejection letter asking me to try again in about 20 years.
I considered their advice taking yet another stab at it in my mid twenties with a second attempt at a childrens book I called "Sassy Little Sarah". Real life wound up swallowing up my time before I finished. Having two kids and a career followed shortly by a divorce, sadly left my dream incomplete. I hope to revisit the idea of writing a book again seeing as the third time is often the charm.
I feel a bit rejuvenated having tripped over Helium quite by accident in August of 2009. I truly enjoy the site as writing for me is illustrating with words or painting a picture with a pen rather than a paint brush. I am an artist of many mediums having a published album cover and a current interest is in mosaic art since graduating from stained glass.
I really enjoy the challenge of writing and having the opportunity to exercise my creative juices. I hope to continue growing and welcome the idea of meeting writers on the site to gain insight as they are terrific sources for future inspiration.

It’s a hard concept to swallow and nearly impossible to explain to anyone who has not experienced it firsthand. However, having the actual experience will change any doubting Thomas the moment that it happens to them. Some things in life are best defined through experience rather than theory. My love life has always been a bit of a disaster and I’m sure I’m not alo...
