My passions have always been art, reading, and writing. As a child, I was consistently doing one or the other. One of my earliest memories is sitting on the floor curled up next to the floorboard vent in my childhood home in the north, enjoying the heat and my favorite book.
I loved each and every Oz book, the fairy tales by the Bother's Grim, the Narnia Books, Harriet the Spy and so many more. Harriet the Spy was the book that inspired me to start writing in notebooks and journals.
My pre-teen years were spent reading Nancy Drew, then all the science fiction I could find, especially Ray Bradbury and Isaac Asimov.
There were too many books that inspired me in my young adult years to list. I am truly grateful for the gift of books and reading.
My love for art continued throughout my life and it is what I chose to study in college. After a successful career as an art director, I decided to stay home with my children, and slowly began to build a following as a fine artist. I have been lucky to have the opportunity to participate in several public art projects, while selling my art and using my artistic side to give back to my community. I enjoy combining my art with my love for the written word.
Apart from my childhood ambitions, I would have loved to be either a CIrcue du Soleil performer, or an art therapist. I am extremely interested in all kinds of neurological and psychological disorders.
I live on the west coast of Florida with my husband and teenage son, and I also have a daughter in college. (Go Trojans!) My dream is to write and illustrate children's books. I had a contract on my book, "Pinkie McCLoud and How She Saved Ballooze" but it fell through, and I hope to find a new publisher this year.

His wink In the blink Of an eye His wink says: I see you. With checks pink I think: I see you too. On the brink Of flirtation The room shrinks My knees sink the warmth spreads Like spilled ink. I hold my drink To his we clink. We walk away With arms linked. His wink.
