My writing career became serious 10 years ago when God inspired me to write a children's story about a little girl at a homeless shelter on Christmas Eve. This first story was posted on the Open Door Mission's phone a story line and launched me into various opportunities of writing, with my favorite venue being devotionals and children's stories using animal characters to teach a lesson.
As a member of FaithWriters for two years, I have submitted well over 100 devotionals and stories that have been published in various magazines and websites. I am a regular contributor to the Open Door Mission's phone a story line, Calicinto Ranch in California, JournEzine website and Full Spirit Magazine.
Recently publishing a devotional book entitled "A Veterinarian's Daughter Learns from the Animal Kingdom; Devotionals for Animal Lovers", I look forward to publishing the sequel in the future. The goal of my writing is to encourage, inspire and make others smile.

The rolling hills of Lancaster turn golden As the Amish begin the harvest. The plow horses pull the wagons Driven by the men, young and old. The fields will soon be bare again As the crops are gathered using tools the English consider old. The barns are quickly filled to the rafters And the glass jars line the cellar shelves. No matter how hard the winter winds will blow God has blessed this harvest And the family bows their heads in grateful thanks.
