About me

Background: B.A. Communication, emphasis Public Relations, Total Quality Management/Organizational Communication, Theory Writing and Research

Organizer and fundraising (raised over $1200) to bring the film "Two Angry Moms" to my city last October in an effort to generate awareness of and activism toward the school lunch initiative to reform the contents of school meals in our district.

Music promoter/event coordinator, 2003 - 2008. I worked with artists from the underground community to bring shows and events to my community. Some of the artists I have worked with: The Cruxshadows, Gene Loves Jezebel, Mankind is Obsolete, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Audra, Attrition, Ayria, Hanzel und Gretyl, Android Lust, Ikonoklast, Nikki Jaine, Sam Rosenthal, and Redemption. Music is one of my greatest passions and loves, and I don't know where I'd be without my musical exposure and experience. It has shaped my life in ways I cannot adequately express.

Home schooling mother, 4 years experience.

My background in writing has gone from technical documentation, to music promotion, to nutrition and sustainable living. I enjoy writing and reading about a variety of subjects, but have a particular passion for nutrition through whole and traditionally prepared foods and sustainable living.

Currently my husband and I are just starting up our new business - Treasure Valley Solar. We live in Idaho and recently decided to make some big changes in our lives - to work for ourselves and make our dreams come true. Treasure Valley Solar specializes in sales, installation, maintenance, and warranty service/service contracts of photovoltaic, solar panels, and solar water heaters. Some companies have a goal to get their customers off the grid, but we want to make solar appealing and affordable for everyone, no matter how small or large the system or savings.

My husband and I have an 8-year-old son and he is going into the third grade. We have homeschooled in the past, but the last two years our son attended public school - one year half time and half homeschool, and the second year full-time. This year we have choosen to return to homeschooling again. I'm looking forward to having a one-on-one learning relationship with him once again.

I also have a great love for horses, and have spent years on and off riding and collecting model horses. I've never owned a horse, but ride with friends as often as I possibly can.

I have also spent the last 20 years creating and designing jewlery. I enjoy working with sterling silver, semi-precious gemstones, Austrian and Swavorski crystal, glass, and sterling findings. Recently I have begun making asymmetrical necklaces that are unusual and eye-catching.
