: About Me

My name is Natalie and I am twenty years old. After leaving school in June 2008, I went on to do some work experience whilst training at college. I worked as a mentor to children who had learning disabilities or behavioural issues.

English was always my favourite mandatory subject at school and I started earning writing awards in primary school when I was around ten years old. My most recent and biggest personal achievement was winning the ‘Write Here, Write Now’ competition, which is a poetry competition for under eighteen’s. I wrote a poem about the London Bombings and had it published it the ‘Write Here, Write Now’ book.

I have a strong passion for business, law and music. I would love to work as a legal professional or lawyer for a large law firm to gain some experience, but my ideal scenario would involve me running my own law firm. My aim is to complete my law degree and become a recognisable legal professional. I chose to study law because of its challenging and competitive nature, as well as to provide a civil duty and help justice prevail.

My inspirations are my family, friends and my boyfriend. I recently moved to Groningen, Holland to live with my boyfriend of almost five years. It’s tough because I’m young and for the first time now I have to really make my own choices and stand on my own two feet! I love my mum and my little brother and that is always on my mind but I wanted to start a fresh and further my studies abroad.

I joined Helium to express my opinions and share my knowledge, as well as to gain knowledge from all the people who are much more knowledgeable than me! I love to write and Helium is a great place for me to give my opinions on different things.
