I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have several areas of specialty which include Hypnotherapy, Pain Management, Addictions, Critical Incident Stress, and Traumatically induced disorders. I am mother to a child with Aspergers Disorder and have extensive studies in helping special needs children.
My former career as a ballet dancer combined with my daughter's needs has led me to the discovery of Art Therapy techniques which I find useful for many applications. I love helping parents with special needs children. I currently teach several ballet classes per week and I am working on a special needs art program in my home town.
I am a published author on ehow.com and pleased to be writing now for Helium. I look forward to writing articles from special requests that I receive.
