There is absolutely no reason that we should have a North American currency. The countries that do use a continental currency are socialist, I for one do not think America should turn into a socialist country. Canada has socialized medicine and Mexico's economy is in the dumps so why in the world would you want to have a currency with both of them? It would just send our economy deeper into that debt hole because this new currency would have very little value. I for one have had a first hand experience of what it is like to live with socialized currency. This idea does have some good sides...
