About me

I am Irish by birth( Dublin) , a citizen of the world by choice ( Italy would be a second home!), married to a New Zealander, and currently living in bristol where I serve as a priest in the Church of England. A 25 year career in education, most recently as Head Teacher and Consultant , has given me a passion for teacher training and Life Long Learning . I have been fortunate enough to spend time with the wonderful children and staff of schools in Gaza, South Africa and Russia amongst other places. As a dyslexic I have experienced first hand the difficulties faced by people with Specific Learning Difficulties. I am pasionate about social justice and regularly deliver presentations to local and national groups on a wide range of related topics.

In addition to a BA in History with Classics, and various teaching diplomas and other first degree level qualifications including Thology, Italian, music , English Literature and ESOL I hold an MBA in International Education. My interests are varied ranging from conflict resolution to psychology, history to humour. My vices include books books and more books.
