I am the sole owner and designer for Bruce Interiors. My business is my passion, and I don't walk away until my client is 100% satisfied. I pride myself in my empathy and ability to give my client "more than they expected". I go into the job knowing I am going to "WOW" the client and give them much more than they expect.
The design business has so many facets that you can always be learning something new. It keeps you learning to keep up with the changes, but also opening up your mind to different methods, than maybe you have used in the past.
My business has leaned toward e-consulting across the United States. I am helping those do it yourselfers, correct their mistakes. I also consult, prior to the client beginning their projects; saving the client money and time. I provide e-consult to help clients from choosing wrong wall colors, furniture, window treatments, etc. The client has the pride of doing it themselves, with a professionals' help.
I am the person who wants to share knowledge and ideas, and doesn't feel threaten that sometimes that knowledge gives your receiver the skills to take your job. In my previous profession, that is exactly what my goal was for my employees. Keep training, teaching, and showing that person from your knowledge and experience; give that individual the opportunity to grow.
You never know what a person is dealing with, financially or emotionally in their private lives; your kindness, helpfulness doesn't cost a thing, but may be valuable to someone else. You just may make a difference to someone who may have been given hope or confidence, by your deed. I try to carry that message in my personal and business life.
