I am a California native residing in the Los Angeles area and have spent much of my working life in the financial industry. My passions are movies and entertainment and those subjects have dominated my writing efforts. I am a student of the cinema with lifelong extensive reading and research on all aspects and history of the subject. Travel is also a passion and I have recently begun translating travel experiences into articles.

During the 1860s there was a gold rush happening in Canyon City, Oregon and when a U.S. cavalry troop was escorting a gold shipment to fund the Civil War, a trooper picked up some curious objects along the way.
