The best thing about me is my family. I am nothing without them. I love reading, writing, good movies, history, cooking, cats, dogs and a lot of other things.
I am a writer by profession. I've written for our local paper as well as others for the past ten years. I've also entered contests. I placed 8th in the Inspiration category in the 74th Writer's Digest Writer's contest, and I earned an honorable mention in the memiors category.

If it were only possible to live a life free of regrets. And yes, I do have a few, but only a few. I write this now, as I hope it will help me put one situation into perspective and set it aside forever. A very long time ago my husband and I packed up the kids and took them out of State to a family reunion. We traveled with his brothers and their families, caravan style. Along the way, my one year old daughter developed a fever. When we made it into our hotel that night, my daughter and I spent the evening resting while the family gathered at a local restaurant.
