Hello, I'm Natilee, a twice published author with a distinct love of poetry. I was first published in fifth grade, again in seventh. I took a two year hiatus from poetry contests to focus on school and my other interests. I am back now, currently working on a novel based on the story of the Four Fates my friend told me about, but I believe the myth orginates from the Bible.
I am a sophmore in high school, I maintain a 3.6 gradepoint average and I am an officer in my school's FFA chapter. My 1st Year CDE team was 8th in state, my Poultry Judging team was 7th in state, my Rituals team was 1st in subdistricts and I was district alternate in Creed Speaking. I am the cheer squad manager and I was the team manager for both JV and the Varsity basketball teams. My Knowledge Bowl team was 3rd in Novice Flight at our first meet, I was team leader for two of the three matches.
Enough of my boasting, please check out my articles and have a wonderful day!

pain, you can learn many things from sorrow and failure.
Reach for the stars, They swore I wouldn't fall. But I plummeted to Earth, Their words not true at all. Where I landed, I cannot see. Just one lone candle, Such maddening company! Dancing in the distance, A silent light. Mocking and laughing, At this pitiful sight! How was I to know, That they only told lies? Now my candle, My hope, Shall be denied?! There it flickers, So close yet far. I see the light, While trapped in the dark. Silent screams, I realize at last, That this greedy beast's reach, Far exceeds my humble grasp.
