I was born in Cyprus of Greek parents and as a youngster emigrated with my family to the UK where I received my education, being awarded a Doctorate in a scientific discipline.
A childhood interest in literature persisted into adulthood and I wrote and published poetry along with eight novels, two of which were recently published.
One, A CHILD'S PAIN deals with the psychological damage inflicted on children during divorces and also with the inadequacy of family law. The novel calls on divorcing parents to reconsider and RETHINK, since in throwing away their matrimonial responsibilities and searching for freedom and their own happiness, they are acting selfishly and causing pain to their children who are innocents in the conflict.
Through a moral awakening, forgiveness comes to the fore and the family is re-united for the sake of the children.
The second novel, A LOSS OF INNOCENCE is concerned with the human need for conflict. It is an allegorical anti-war novel set in an imaginary kingdom in Medieval Europe where war is unknown. Through a dream, the king's instincts are awakened to the need for war and he builds an army to invade his neighbour.
A holyman who everyone in the kingdom recognises as divine since he can see everything that will be foretells disaster, yet the king still goes to war, fully aware of his people's fate.
The novel confronts the uncomfortable fact that wars are natural and cannot be obliterated. Violence can only be prevented on a personal scale by individuals who choose to act morally and believe sincerely in THOU SHALL NOT KILL.
I also have a series of short stories available electronically on www.amazon.com where I have a profile at the link below

A DAY OF FORGIVENESS The bombing finally stopped, the sirens sounded the all-clear and a few people began to venture slowly out into the wasteland from basements where they hid to save themselves. Unknown thousands lay buried beneath the mountains of rubble that were once the elegant buildings of Berlin. After hours filled with the terrifying roar of aeroplanes and exploding bombs, a strange, haunting silence embraced this city that was once the pride of the Third Reich. Once small cities like Dresden had been razed to the ground by endless waves of bombers, it was the turn of mighty Berli...
