Now, a little more about myself:
I started writing at a young age; however, it wasn't until my early twenties I did anything about it. Back then, I was a journalism major who had published news and magazine feature articles in two college publications (El Camino College and Cal State Fullerton) Later, a summer before graduating from CSUF, I interned at an Orange County daily newspaper. That September I started my first and only (to this point) paid writing job as a Stringer for Gardena Valley News. Back then, I envisioned entering into a long career as a journalist. Oh, how wrong I was. In the mid 90s, jobs prospects for aspiring journalists were slim, for newspapers were on the decline. As a result, I shifted my occupation to teaching.
Although, I've been published in various magazines and small publications, they were few and far between and they didn't pay a dime. For the last 15 years, I've been working in the education world. First, I was a substitute teacher for 6 six years. For the last nine years, I've been a Resource Teacher (Special Ed.) at a local high school.
My writing covers a varied collection of subjects. I've written and published poems, a short script (printed in a book with no credit) and feature articles with my father. As a creative writer, I tend to focus on personal matters, as well as science fiction, horror and fantasy. As an educator, I deal with varied subjects such as directed teaching, IQ tests and issues pertaining to reading/writing enrichment programs and special education.

Under a concrete gray sky, raining ashes and debris, in this darkest of days, one woman makes her stand She sees the island covered in ash. She sees the pit still smoldering where the mighty towers once stood. She sees the people, of this grand metropolis on a tiny island, coming together in this time of sorrow.
