I like both of these shows but I think that Ghost Hunters is by far the superior show. Some of it does have to do with the language barrier, it is hard to understand some of the investigators. That, coupled with the poor sound from some of the locations and you almost need subtitles to comprehend what they are talking about. Unless they scream, then that kind of is a dead give away. And the host, she does a lot of screaming.
