My love for writing was first sparked during my senior year in high school. I had an excellent English teacher who shared his love of writing with us and taught us how to write.
When I was 18-years-old I made the most important decision of my life - I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and knew from that moment on what it meant to have my sins forgiven. An unbelievable peace flooded my soul and my life has never been the same.
I enrolled in a Christian university on the East Coast and received my Bachelor of Arts degree. It was there that I met my husband-to-be and two years later we were married. God called us to Chile, South America as missionaries where we have served Him for the past 28 years.
During those years I have been a wife and secretary for my husband, a mother to our 12 children (we have seven of our own and we adopted 5 Chilean children), homeschooled our children and have taught children's and ladies groups. In my spare time, I have translated 3 books from English into Spanish.
Writing, to an extent, has laid dormant in my life, waiting for the moment to escape and begin to fly. In July, 2009 I began writing articles for Helium and at the same time began working on-line as a freelancer and proofreader for Fast, Affordable Quality Copywriting.
I am at the place in my life, even though I am still raising 5 teenagers and a 7 year old, where I am excited about the opportunities in writing that are opening up before me.
