: About Me

Hey there, I want to share with you a little something about myself before you actually get into reading my materials. I am hopeful that with a little insight to me and my foundation for writing would assist you in better understanding my work. I am a true product and son of the soil of one of the many islands of the caribbean. I grew up in one of the very friendly and family liked districts in the surrounding urban areas of Barbados, where the older folks had a love for telling stories or horror tales at nights. We all would sit around in a poorly lit area and they each would share their tale or story. At the end of it all, some of us had to be taken home because we were too scare to walk alone. The rest of us who played brave enough to go the distance alone,would often run flat out all the way home. I had loved those story telling times and I used to get all excited just looking forward to them on what we soon called "Story Nights". My love for writing is my way of sharing my stories instead of just sitting around and telling them. I try to reflect a part of my culture and belief into my writing and this I believe makes a major difference in my style and form of writing. I am a poetry writer / rhythm poet and I like to think that I'm one with a difference. As you continue to read my work, you too will soon understand why my work is so different. I can take just about any topic and create a very interesting piece to read. I've been writing for twelve years now and I find it very relaxing and rewarding. It's my avenue of expressing myself and sharing with others some of my thoughts. My greatest accomplishment is having other relate to my work and sharing it with their loved ones. Just the idea of having others identify with my work, is enough to keep me writing for quite some time to come. I'm presently working on having some of my materials published and I'm counting on you guys to give me some sort of feed back, so you can expect more from me very soon.
