A proud New Hampshire native, I moved to North Carolina with my husband four years ago for a few reasons: a teaching job, the weather, and to make new memories. Right now, I am taking a break from teaching to raise my two young children and am enjoying my time with them immensely. With four years of marriage under my belt, two little munchkins, a big, black dog, and a home to tend to, I keep fairly busy. I'm trying to turn off the tv more often, so writing is a perfect outlet for my meandering mind.
With a Psychology degree and teaching certificate, I have written countless papers to advance my education. Now it's time I write for other pursuits. With teaching third grade, tutoring and substitute-teaching in numerous classrooms, I have ample experience and plenty of worthwhile stories to tell. Having enjoyed writing for years, I am not a published writer yet, but have written a few children's stories for fun. Professors, family members and friends have told me I write well. Time will tell if they were telling the truth or just blowing smoke.
What do I do for fun? Mostly, my days are spent caring for my little babydoll, but I try to get her out as much as I can. We go for walks downtown, go to the library, and spend time outside doing yardwork. I am trying to develop a green thumb and have planted some herbs. Unfortunately, my dill just bit the dust.
What would I do if money were no issue? (I have sacrificed a second income to stay home with my daughter). I would spend time exploring the beautiful North Carolina coast. I truly love the ocean and the beach. It is where I feel the happiest for sure.

Then there is the teenage children part. Does anyone expect the average teenager to go to college before graduating high school? I think not. When you graduate from high school, that is the appropriate time to attend college. However, some s...
