I work for a community non-profit as their Director of Marketing and Communications and have worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. With two Masters degrees, one in Middle East Studies and the other in Education, I have developed materials and projects focused on the fields of education, peace-building, and global awareness. I didn't always work in non-profit though. As a certified teacher, I also taught in public schools both in New York and in Israel for a few years. I started my career working in magazine and book publishing.

Hobbies:
I love spending time with family and friends and fixing up and decorating the new home I bought with my husband this year. I also meditate, practice yoga, go for walks and discover nature, travel to new and not-so-new-to-me places, read good books, photograph, visit art exhibitions, follow current events - and of course, write.
I have often been intimidated at the thought of making my own pizza dough, but my husband, a very talented home cook, prefers making his own. Not only does his homemade pizza dough taste great, but he also turns it into a really fun experience. He will often make homemade pizzas when inviting friends over to watch sports games by preparing individual, smaller pies and different types of toppings for guests to choose such as pineapple and shrimp, or onions and mushrooms, or my favorite eggplant, basil, and buffalo mozzarella.
