I Graduated Texas A&M Jan 1961 - BSME

I am a Registered Mechanical Engineer and a Registered Electrical Engineer in 26 States and one foreign territory. I hold NCEES Certificate 7447 National Engineering Certification in the Mechanical and the Electrical engineering disciplines

I am the Founder, President & 100% Owner of: Spencer Engineers, Inc. I started his consulting engineering private practice in Jan 1968 as Spencer & Associates and incorporated his business as Spencer Engineers, Inc. in 1971. This totals 40 years of private practice plus 6 additional years with other Architect-Engineering firms. I have specialized in the field of acquiring and completing Federal Government Architect-Engineering design contracts for use in competetively bidding for the construction of Publicly Funded Construction Projects.

I am a 70 year old engineer still working because I think that engineering is fun. I have always been interested in economics since Texas A&M required this course for engineers, along with business law and accounting in the 1950's. The Economics lecturer taught preposterous lessons to the effect that no one had to work as long as long as we just manipulated the economy. The business law and accounting courses also benefited me greatly in my engineering career. I also cashed in my investments in the spring of 2008 and avoided the loss of asset values that most folks endured when they listened to their professional financial advisors. I have rental properties that provide almost a six figure retirement income some day when we decide to retire.

I have completed Multiple U.S. Federal design contracts with the National Space & Administration Agency (70 projects), the US Army (30 projects), US General Services Administration (8 projects), US Air Force (4 projects), US Department of State (8 foreign projects), US Postal Service (34 projects) and the National Imagery & Mapping Agency (NIMA is now NGA - 4 projects). Gerald Spencer has had additional AE indefinite contracts with the City of Houston Police Department, the Port of Houston, the City of Houston Aviation Department (Now Houston Air Services), and the State of Texas GSA.

I am the Foreign Country Engineer of Record for 3 projects in Saudi Arabia; 1 project in Bahrain; 6 projects in India; 1 project in Denmark; 1 Project in Nassau, Bahamas; 1 project in Chile, and 1 project in Barbados

I am the previous holder of an AMA Motorcycle Racing License, a USAC & SCCA Race Driving Licenses (single seat open wheel formula), an Airplane Private Pilot License SEL, and a Sky Diving Instructor. I am now too old for any of these activities, but I still dream of doing these activities again. When you get old, memories are all that you will have.

My son & I like to practice long range rifle target shooting 600YD and shooting prarie dogs in West Texas.

My daughter takes me to Yoga Classes.

My wife & I like long driving vacations to see this country. Cruises are nice also.

Is anybody sure that the US government will be able to borrow enough of the US dollars that we paid foreigners to make our imported US consumer goods back from China, India, Pakistan, Brazile and the other industrial nations to pay US medical doctors, nurses, hospitals, clinics and medical technicians with these borrowed US dollars to provide FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL US CITIZENS AND MAYBE ALL OF THE ILLEGAL ALIENS ALSO? Let us not make Communist China and other industrialized nations mad, because they might not loan our government any more money for our free health care. But wait a minute...
