I aspire one day to be a professional writer, but before paychecks must come practice. This is the reason why I write on Helium.
My passion is ...
the relationship of all humans with the world around them.
I know too much about ...
saying a lot of things with no substance.
My parents always told me ...
to be home by curfew, and to follow my heart.
My childhood ambition ...
was to be a lawyer. Then I was on the debate team in high school. I realized that most of the jerks I was debating against also aspired to become lawyers, and I changed my mind.
My favorite memory ...
was the first time that I saw my fiancee, Aaron, face-to-face.
Why I write ...
I write because I have a tendency to be much more eloquent through the written word, and am very opinionated.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I've been reading just about everything I can get my hands on, from contemporary fairy tales to Victorian classics. My thirst for books is insatiable as of late. I've just about given up on television, save Fox's new show Glee. I have all of the music on my iPod and watch religiously every Thursday on Hulu.
My first job ...
I was a nanny for a family for 2.5 years. A girl, who is now 13, and a boy, who happens to be autistic, now 18
My inspiration ...
To know that I may have the chance to change the way someone thinks about a topic through my writing.
