Connie Rae is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. I am in the "semi-retired" mode, and interested in sharing, through writing, some of the expertise I have accumulated through the years. I have always "been a writer(!)" - a storyteller, an information "provider," a gatherer of information - I love to write, whether it is non-fiction to help someone find some answers for perplexing problems in their life, or a fiction story to "escape," or learn from... I have sold several magazine articles in the far distant past, before life became too demanding as I finished my college education, raised four children, and worked at establishing a private practice in a profession I have loved.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and an "almost" degree in elementary education. I have a Master's degree in Family Studies, with a counseling emphasis.
I am hoping, through Helium, to start a process of organization, and scheduling time for writing. I am excited about the challenges Helium sets in front of me.
I have worked at a number of interesting jobs over the years of contributing to the financial status of our family. My husband is a retired school teacher. We have been married 50 years, and have 16 grandchildren (one of them in heaven - yes, I believe in a literal heaven - and "the other place, too")
My writing, whether fiction, or non-fiction, reflects my belief system -Judeo-Christian and is based on Scriptural principles and Christian values.

Many of us have tried the most popular diet plans, and lost a few pounds, and then gave up because the diet was too restrictive. We couldn't stand the thought of not eating our favorite foods, "ever again." Keeping our weight at a reasonable, yet healthy number, is a lifetime challenge. The safest way to shed those pounds is to do it slowly and thoughfully. Here are several things to consider: 1. Drink the recommended 8 eight ounce glasses of water daily.
