Professional writer and photographer with passion for words and images of both factual and fictional nature.

Apart from journalism and photography, I have also studied languages, literature, nutrition, geology, biochemistry and art & design. I have been working as a freelance writer and photographer for well over ten years and enjoy it immensely. I have also run courses on photography and arranged art & design workshops for schools. In the past I have worked as a journalist, a teacher, a college tutor, a lab assistant and, while still a student, as a riding instructor.

Our planet and its inhabitants is a constant source of inspiration, as is the innate enthusiasm and creativity of children. I believe that creative activities such as writing, music and art give depth and meaning not only to the self of the creator but also to our society.
