Well let me start with hi, I'm Ashley. I am a mother, a sister, a wife, and a daughter...in other words completley devoted to my family! I have been in school for YEARS now persuing my goal to become a midwife, but if I could persue two careers, my second choice would deffinetely be journalism. My grandmother has enocouraged me to write ever since I can remember, and when I was 11 I had a short story published in a local collaberation of short stories and tall tales. Ever since that day I have been hooked! I, like most of my family, believe that literature is a tremendously important part of life, and I hope to pass this belief on to my two wonderful children. I am just getting started on this site, but I truly aspire to improve my writing skills, and gain constructive critisisim from this community. I hope to one day fill my page with plenty of well written articles, and a long list of credentials, but for now, if you feel compelled to do so, please drop me a line or a comment with suggestions or feedback after reading my work. Your support and input will be greatly appriciated!

The first crisp in the air, the start of football season, the annual fall picnic, these are all reasons why fall is my favorite season. Every year, without fail, my family and I drive to North Carolina where we have our picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is a 469 mile stretch of scenic highway that runs mostly through the Appalachian Mountains. We take time out of our busy lives to reconnect, enjoy each other's company, and enjoy the landscape, or more importantly the beautiful fall leaves. These beautiful leaves that...
