Amelia Schaffer is a New York native who enjoys reading, science fiction, and classical opera. She holds a B.A. in music and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She currently lives in Corpus Christi with her husband and an ever-growing library.

My childhood ambition ...

to be a writer, then a teacher, then the lead singer of a rock band (?), and who knows what else; but here I am, full circle.

Why I write ...

to express myself, and constanty learn and develop new ways to do that better.

My inspiration ...

anything around can inspire me; it's learning to write when you're not inspired that's the hard part.
