I'm an English major at the University Hartford. I serve as a staff writer in the OpEd section of the school's Hartford Informer newspaper. I'm more than willing to write for other papers, but my career aspirations aren't exactly journalism-related.
Writing keeps me going in life. If I was without the means to express myself (being it with writing, photography, or in music), I'd be hopelessly depressed. Writing is my way of communicating with other and myself the thoughts and ideas that flow through my head.
My passion is ...
creative writing, photography, and writing music
I know too much about ...
Slackware Linux, wiring guitars, photoshop
My parents always told me ...
"You can't make a living out of writing!"
My childhood ambition ...
to become a computer programmer
My favorite memory ...
Kissing my girlfriend in the snow - our first kiss
Why I write ...
It's my creative release, like a brain orgasm.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Wilco, Kanye West, Beck, uh... *shrug*
My first job ...
Not my first job, but in high school I worked on an agricultural farm.
My best moment ...
Right this very moment
My inspiration ...
Binge drinking, intravenous drugs, and violent crime
Untitled Drama for the Stage Martin and Dominique, a young college couple, have just arrive at Dominique's parent's house. This is the first time they're meeting Martin, and he's nervous about making a good impression. Despite the fact that Martin's neck is covered in hickeys (last-minute plans), he's being assured by Dominique that all will go fine. They're approaching the front door of the house: MARTIN: (nervously) There's no way he's going to be cool with this. Look at me! (Points out hickey-bruised neck) It's so obvious! What kind of impression is this going to make? DOMINIQUE: Relax!...
