As the Channel Manager for Fashion Trends and Styles, I'm lucky enough to be able to marry two of my greatest passions in life: writing and fashion.
I was an English major during my time at the University of North Alabama, with an emphasis on creative writing and a minor in history (another academic love of mine). I'm currently studying for a BA degree in fashion design at the Academy of Art University, San Fransisco. My background in both fields is extremely valuable in my writing, as I take great pains to apply what I've learned to my articles, and I strive for constant improvement in that respect.
I'm very interested in the edge of fashion, which is why I love writing about the newest trends. To me, fashion is art, whether you're dressing to run errands or investing in haute couture. Every outfit, no matter how casual or simple, must have a certain element of awe-inspiring elegance and detail to truly be deemed "fashionable".
My interests spread beyond the realm of fashion, however. I'm very passionate about history and I'm an avid genealogist. My favorite era of study is Tudor England. I'm descended from many prominent figures of that time; King Henry VIII himself is my uncle. But my genealogy is also diverse; I'm fortunate enough to be able to trace my lineage back to every continent (except for Antarctica, of course). Thus, I consider myself a daughter of the world, and I encourage others to follow suite.
TV shows enthrall me - but it has to be good TV. I'm very picky, and I'm not a fan of television in general; thus, only the most captivating shows can grab me. If I like a show, I love to analyze the characters, the plot, the writing, and even learn about how it's made behind-the-scenes. I love writing about these aspects of what make the shows I love great, and I love sharing that knowledge with others.
As Channel Manager for Fashion Trends and Styles, I'm available twenty-four-seven through my Helium inbox. I'm always happy to answer questions, and I love hearing from other writers.

Ethnic print miniskirts are everywhere in the late summer 2010 season. The trend is tribal-inspired and usually in neutral or warm colors, though green has made appearances in various catalogs and websites. Fit and Style The most common style for these ethnic print skirts is a mini A-line. When wearing one of these mini A-lines, be prepared to show a little leg; however, make sure the skirt reaches at least halfway to your knees. Going shorter looks tacky. Another option is to go for a tulip shape. It’s more grown up and figure conscious - not to mention, the tulip skirts are usually...
