I'm a student from Wales, UK, and I've just completed my undergraduate film degree. I'll be beginning my Masters degree in September, and I hope to go on to do a PhD following that. I'd like to get into lecturing, researching and writing about film, as well as film criticism/journalism.
I'm a big fan of horror films and find them absolutely facinating, but this is simply the tip of my film iceberg - I love most films, aside from romantic comedies and teen comedies! I'm also a big fan of TV, with The X-Files being my favourite show of all time. Currently my favourite shows on TV are Lost, Heroes, Fringe and Californication. I'm also a big music fan, enjoying a very wide range of music, from Beethoven to Jerry Lee Lewis to Britney to Goblin!
I love writing and I think I still have a lot of room to grow and to learn, so constructive feedback is always very much appreciated!
Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween is a very different beast to John Carpenter's masterful original. The 1978 film not only shook up the horror genre, the representation of women in film and the potential of low-budget filmmaking, but it's also a finely crafted exercise in fear and entertainment.
