Daniel Thrasher is a senior at the College of Idaho. He has been a freelance writer since August 2008, but a writer for life. At his school, he was a guest editor and regular contributor to the school newspaper. He co-founded and presided over a writing club, and was an editor and compiler of a brand-new campus literary magazine. His short story was a finalist in an online contest, and was also accepted to the 24th National Undergraduate Literature Conference. In addition, he was a Residential Network Assistant, helping students with computer problems. His other interests include reading, drawing, playing guitar, listening to music, and playing video games. He currently resides in Boise, ID.
Every once in a while, a movie comes along that grabs you and causes you to experience a gamut of emotions. Disney-Pixar's "Up" is a rollercoaster ride, as there are at least as many "downs" as there are "ups." That an animated movie meant for kids could affect grown-ups at all is a testament to the skill of an animation studio like Pixar.
