: About Me

 My name is skip flanagan. i am the author of i dreamed you a legend and also your only choice is to become rich. i am a former athlete. i played basketball for texas southern university and also oregon tech.  while at oregon tech i broke the three pt field goal record. i enjoyed the outdoors and met a lot of interesting people. 

i am a former basketball coach and teacher. i am presently a small business owner. i am an entertainer. i recorded my first musical presentation and it is presently on itunes "been so long!.  i will beginning my own radio blog station march 2, 2010 indamixwitskip. we will be discussing issues in the morning and playing music at night. 

my long term goal is to become a writer for the new york times or a major publication. they can do the editing...lol.  i think my writing will be different. balanced. i try to stay that way.  i further enjoy movies and want to produce movies.  I also want to be a talk show host. I love entertainment.  yet i want to be a positive not a negative influence on american society.

I believe my past plays a lot into my writing and my way of thinking. i continue to research daily.  yet i think i am capable of being misread. yet another day allows me to clarify any misrepresentations one may have gotten. i simply ask for people to read the whole book not parts. i am all the things i describe. yet my intentions are genuine. they are for wat is best for america and americans.  it will simply take someone that understands and believes the things that i believe for the opportunities to make themselves available to me. i make myself available. i enjoy writing. thanks to helium. my writing has a forum. i hope u enjoy. Black History Month is now upon us. As i look at the words and think about the topic i get mixed emotions. It sounds kind of racist and by the same token it brings a sense of pride.  I wonder how can it be both.  If I was a White American it would be hard for me to partake in this history or this celebration.  A celebration that i am excluded from. I know the feeling of being left out of something it hurts.  As we strive to come to common ground as to what America really stands for this month establishes its relevancy.  Slavery is a dark past for the United States....
