I am the son a career US Army father who served in Europe during the Cold War and fought with VII Corps during the 1st Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. I attended the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School in 1989-90, and went on to stay at the Academy through my doolie year. After leaving the Academy, I found myself working in business to business publishing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, as a public school English/History teacher (and football, wrestling and track & field coach), I combine my love of literature, history and patriotism to guide students, athletes, and my own children toward successful life paths. I share my passion for life with my wife of 10 years.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Reading: Karen Traviss - her ability to write about how soldiers think in combat is uncanny; Watching: Harper's Island - it is horrible, but, like a train wreck, I can't take my eyes off; Listening to: Aren't we all listening to Michael Jackson right now...? and Prince - I'm on an 80's kick lately, and I have always been a fan of the Artist. Is it just me, or does his new stuff lack some of the "Revolution" of his earlier work. Probably just a Sign of the Times...
