I think some of the best new Canadian music is found in several great bands. Firstly, Missisauga's own 'the Meligrove Band'. A dynamic four piece, whose sound is laden in traditions that echo the best of Queen, Supertramp, Led Zeppelin, while maintaining a distinctive contemporary pop sound. Singer Jason Nunes doubles up on piano and guitar during their vibrant live sets. Further augmenting the sound is Andrew Scott, secondary guitarist, who quickly drops synth lines with a free hand, picking up a trumpet or baritone trombone and embellishing lines.
