About me

I am fully certified financial advisor with a background in journalism and economic and financial research.

Education:

-Completed the Canadian Securities Course, Canadian Insurance Course and Conduct and Practics Handbook Course from the Canadian Securities Institute. The CSC and CPH are mandatory courses for anyone looking to become a full service financial advisor.

-Completed my MBA with a focus in economic development from Cape Breton University.

-Completed my Bachelor of Arts with a double major in philosophy and communication.

Awards and Publications:

-Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council research grant (2007-08).

-"Financing the Social Economy" - A paper co-authored with Mr. George Karaphillis and published during the ANSWER conference in 2009.

-"Community Development Finance" - A paper authored while working as a researcher with the Community Economic Development Institute at Cape Breton University. It was published through the Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet).
