I am a mother of children ranging from 16-20, Christ follower, social worker and a student of life. I enjoy writing, reading biographies, cultures, languages, walking, religion/spirituality, volunteering, social issues, children, tandem bicycling and making new friends. I believe in nonviolence. I would love to travel to many different places and experience various cultures. And, I happen to be totally blind.

"Arranged Marriage," is the first book that I have read by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It is a collection of short stories surrounding immigration and marriage for Indian women. Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is an accomplished Indian Author who has written many books such as ""Sister of My Heart," "Queen of Dreams," "The Mistress of Spices," "The Palace of Illusions," and such short stories as "The Unknown errors of our lives."
