I am an avid writer, of fiction, poetry and non fiction. Broad categories, I know, but I have always loved writing and connecting with others through what I write.
I have taken part in several writing projects, working with a range of ages and abilities in creating short stories, poetry and films. I have my poetry and short stories published, and have read at venues including Blackwood Miner's Institute and Bristol's Verscity Slam.
As subeditor of the University's newspaper I gained experience in assigning and editing articles, reviews and stories, as well as substantial experience in designing the paper. I have written training manuals for public sector and voluntary organisations as well as articles for in house magazines.
I have written for online magazines and websites on a range of subjects and have designed websites for non-profit groups. I have qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language and supporting teachers and learners, as well as having taught English to private students.
I am currently web master for both www.scar-tissue.net and www.selfinjuryawarenesscymru.org.uk and write articles covering self harm, depression, eating and fitness for those sites. I am also a writer and reviewer for www.bmezine.com on a range of topics about body modification and have written several lenses on www.squidoo.com.
