A writer, a journalist and public relations consultant.
I have spent over 18 years as a journalist. During this period I have worked with leading English newspapers like The Telegraph, Financial Express and Business Standard. I retired from the profession voluntarily in 2002. Last position held was Chief of Markets Bureau. In the process, I came in close contact with high profile bankers, finance professionals, fund managers, business leaders and brokers/investors.
As a journalist I reported extensively on large and mid-size Indian corporates, commodites, banking/finance and the stock markets.
As a PR professional I served large and mid-size corporates. The list includes ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, M & M, L & T, Reliance Industries, JSW Steel and Eastern Silk among others.
I am now into active article writing and blogging besides pursuing other interests like public relations and investing. Have just completed a coffee table book on Calcutta Polo Club, the world's oldest polo club.
