About me

I am a member of the Pastoral Care Team in a major hospital. I am a member of the Pediatric Ethics Committee, as well as the Adult Ethics Committee at the same hospital. I am a certified advocate for sexual assault victims. I am a certified HIV counselor. I write for my department newsletter.

I write and make presentations in the community on Grief, Patient Safety, and Women's Issues. I work on several community improvement boards.

My formal title is Reverend. But first names are fine with me..

I love photography, and writing. I love spending days in the park.

To be a great writer, To dance, to be free, to fly.

My favorite memory ...

So many, I cannot choose one. My life has been a collage of interesting, wonderful things. Ive had some miracles as well. there have been suckey things too, but Ive always overcome them. I have learned to always be open to the possibilities.

Why I write ...

To enlighten, to inform, to share, to engage in meaningful dialogue, to explore myself, to spread my creative wings

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I like comedy and cooking shows, a little CNN, nothing too heavy, I read a lot about spirituality, grief, self help, because of the work I do. I love most kinds of music.

My first job ...

When I was 14, I was a sandwich maker in a sub shop near Miami International Airport

My best moment ...

When I kiss my seven year old son, when my teenaged son kisses me for no reason at all, when I get just the right phrase for an article I am working on, when I snap just the right photo that captures what is in my heart.

My inspiration ...

God, my family, the courage of my patients, the love and support of my friends and colleagues.
