Simply put, I am a student of the world.
Everything should be considered; everything should be questioned. To me, writing is just another method in which we communicate with the world. Functionally no different than a casual conversation. And similarly open to examination and debate, if not more so because of its potential influence.
It is to this that I believe that each one of us is capable of leaving a distinct impression on one another. Therefore, I find it interesting to examine how the actions of one person affects another. And even how our institutions and social constructs shape the world.
So, I have a deep interest in both the media and politics, and I believe that because everything is influenced by these two mediums working together, they should be examined even more closely.
As they will likely tell you, conservative pundits dominate talk radio and television programming with some of the highest ratings ever during their time slots. Millions of Americans watch and listen to their daily message, whether it's attacking the somehow slippery slope of liberalism or warning of the "moral decay" of the country. The impact of conservative commentators like Limbaugh, Beck and O'Reilly on middle-class America for the last few decades cannot be understated enough.
