: About Me

I am 41 years old and I live south of Atlanta, Ga. I have a Bachelors Degree in English and plenty of life experiences to draw from. My most recent years have been taken up trying to raise three children while living with Fibromyalgia. Not easy when your husband is in the Army and gone to Iraq more often than being home. Now that he has retired, I would like to share what I've always kept to myself as a hobby...my writing. I have no formal experience, no published works and no literary awards. What I do have is a way with words and a no-nonsense way of looking at the world. There will be no flowery prose or heavy alliteration. What there will be are hints of humor, glimpses of sarcasm and a candid view of experiences I have had.

Redecorating on a budget sounds all good, but realistically it takes time, patience and knowing what you want. Sometimes these things are harder to come by than you would think. The phone rings, the kids scream or the dishwasher explodes all over the floor. Despite all of these issues, it is possible to make improvements in your home for not a lot of money.
