: About Me

My name is Simonne Liberty, and I am 63 years old. I live alone with my senior dog, "Lady." I have had a passion to write my entire life, despite my learning disabilities. I have been writing to prison pen pals for the past 35 years. I am a self-advocate for the poor and those wrongly convicted. I fight for justice for those who have no voice. I use my writing skills to speak for them.

My dream has always been to publish one of my books, but I myself live in poverty, so I have given up on that dream. I have a 12 year old grand daughter who will inherit all my writings when I pass to the next world.

I am new at using a computer, and with my learning difficulties, I get terribly frustrated trying to find things that the average person takes for granted. I enjoy reading the other articles on the site, and it gives me person pleasure to know that maybe someone is reading something I wrote.

How can America claim to be the land of the "FREE" when soldiers are not allowed to decide if they disagree with a war, and want to opt out of it. Many young men who disagreed with the Viet Nam War either ran off to Canada to avoid the draft, or were convicted of a crime and served 5 years in prison, for refusing to fight a war they did not believe in.
