Nan C. Avery has been a teacher for over 20 years. She has experience working with at-risk students and mainstreaming children with special needs into a regular classroom.
Avery attended workshops and presented programs for fellow teachers on classroom techniques. She also wrote articles for colleagues on the newest breakthroughs in education. For example, one of her articles explained how to use Madeline Hunter's lesson plan strategies to reach all children in the classroom.
