I'm a 31 year old woman who started writing as a shy 7 year old girl. Every since I first put pen to paper, every event in my life, good or bad, has become my muse. I write from joy, pain, love, hate and the myriad of other emotions life has chosen to grant me. My words do not beg for pity, or sorrow, only empathy if I am lucky enough to find another soul who can relate to my own.
My favorite authors are numerous, but I am sure my pen name gives away the 2 that have touched me the deepest. Those being Emily Dickinson, and Robert Frost. I am also a huge fan of Blake, Poe, Browning (Elizabeth and Robert), Plath and so many others. In prose, I admire Anne Lamott. She may not be as well known as some writers, but I have read every word she has ever written (just about) and she speaks to me like no one ever has. I also adore J.K Rowling, as somewhat of a guilty pleasure and yes, I will be in line at Midnight trying to buy the new Harry Potter when it is released.
My only wish is that someday something I wrote will touch someone the way the great writers of the past touched me.

I would like to say that the best managers were the ones who were the most friendly and affable, but in all of my experience this has never once been the case. I have learned that trying to be everyone's friend is actually an ineffective way to lead a group. Employees tend to feel diffe...
