I started studying journalism and began by writing arts listings while working for a lifestyle magazine. I met a group of creative people who were about to embark on an exciting plan to start an independent national lifestyle magazine.
I worked alongside them for 5 years as the Games Assistant and specialised in Gaming Journalism. This was a roller coaster ride of sorts. The highs came from chatting to the PR companies and finding other gamers to talk shop with but unfortunately the lows were the realisation that the printing industry was suffering and the magazine finally folded.
I found I had the time to pursue an ambition of mine to work in the games industry and have been working in QA as a games tester ever since. I miss the writing and the contact with the PR companies and was recommended by Roisi Proven, a good friend of mine to try Helium.
