About me - Diane Reiter

About me

I am currently a freelance writer working primarily for the marketing department of a local newspaper. I thrive on creativity and am constantly exploring fresh ways to fuel my life. My ambitions have allowed me to dabble in web design, graphic design, e-business, sales, textile art, painting, and cooking, but my true passion will always be writing.

In addition to my regular newspaper gig, I actively write brochures, menus, web content, feature articles, and poetry. I am constantly seeking writing opportunities that will allow me to do what I enjoy most - making people laugh at the trivial, quirky, day-to-day moments in life.

I live in Minnesota with my very talented husband, two exceptionally intelligent children, and a variety of pets including an assortment of spider species residing in the neglected corners of my home.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

my family.

I know too much about ...

everything. Just ask my friends.

My parents always told me ...

that if I ate my vegetables, I'd grown hair on my chest.

My childhood ambition ...

was to be the next Laura Ingalls Wilder. After I found out she wrote books as an old woman, it didn't sound very fun anymore.

My favorite memory ...

oh....so many! Some of the most fun I've had are time spent with my high school friend, Pam. I consider us to be kind of like Lucy and Ethel.

Why I write ...

It's part of me.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

the hum of my computer and the occasional dog bark outside.

My first job ...

was working at a nuthouse. The Nuthouse was a store located in of a local mall that sold candy and assorted nuts. I'm still full.

My best moment ...

is yet to be...

My inspiration ...

the truly good people in my life and God.
