I am specifically a disabled veteran who is trying to live out his dream of life as a published writer. Looking back my life can easily be laughed at. Expecially when one observes a Theater Arts Major going into the Marine Corps on active duty in 1980. It is a major joke because before active duty I became one of the New Mexico Gunfighter associations founding members. How many outlaw gunfighters would volunteer to serve in the Marine Corps?
The laughter roars when one looks at the jar-head in a three month coma after a head injury. At least the Marine Corps did not giggle at me. They allowed me to finish my four year tour of duty. It's just that they didn't discharge me until three months after my date of enlistment. The honorable discharge was worth waiting for.
At least that joke allowed me to start majoring in Computer Science once the Veteran's Affairs sent me back to colledge. Unfortunately that turned into a joke as well when I got shot by a civilian and had to drop out.
Now it's about time I started trying to live out my life dream and become a published author. I just hope every thing like my chopper riding history and trucking experience will help me along. It also might help that practice makes perfect.

Gasoline just is too expensive for anyone who has hauled it as a trucker to find it easy to purchase. It's just that not every former long haul trucker has any Marine Corps training and theater experience like myself. That way picking up on jogging for them isn't as easy as it was for me this summer. The Marine Corps required all of us enlisted men to be able to easily jog three miles, and while on active duty I was young enough to jog at least three miles every day.
