Welcome to Beth's page. I am a SAHM of five, a college student and a grandmother of a beautiful 18-month old girl. I have been married to Phil for the past 24 years.

I am very new to Helium, but have always enjoyed writing. In my spare time, I enjoy having fun with my family, running, hiking, biking, and swimming. I also enjoy movies, reading, and babysitting my granddaughter. I love animals; especially horses and dogs. We have a 15-year old Husky mix named Max.

I am a soapmaker and love to make homemade soap using the cold-process method. I also love to bake. My specialties are brownies and chocolate chip cookies.

The term mental retardation means that a person has a lower than average IQ. It doesn't mean that the individual is dumb or stupid. It simply means that he or she needs more time to learn than the rest of the population, but it does not mean that the person with mental retardation cannot learn.
