: About Me

This is that place where I’m supposed to sell you on my many accomplishments and give you a reason to believe I’m the greatest thing since sliced bread. And since my opening observation precluded that possibility, I might as well just tell you the truth.

As an honorably discharged Disabled American Veteran, I volunteered to serve my country because of a love for the ocean which drew me to the Navy. It would be much later in life before I learned to love and serve God and country as a patriot of moral humanity.

I discovered a love for writing in Mrs. Boger’s fifth grade class which was about the only thing I got a passing grade for that year.

Still rough around the edges, still learning new tricks, I am convinced that the pen truly is mightier than the sword in the long term and Helium gives me a great opportunity to explore the boundaries of a developing skill.

As a born again Christian I affirm my unwavering faith in the word of God, the Bible, as the final authority on all matters pertaining to life and godliness. Although you will find numerous articles of a secular nature to my credit, they have nevertheless been written from a Christian perspective.

With a prophetic eye on the world and the condition and direction of our society, I simply cannot imagine living a life without the inspiration, the comfort, peace, and sense of security that comes from an ever present wellspring of God's presence.

I would leave you with one final thought: that wellsprinig of peace can be yours, too. With one simple prayer you can be assured of your eternal destiny today by making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
